State justices reach decisions in three of four cases heard locally

Decisions in three of the four cases heard by the Ohio Supreme Court during an April off-site session at Bellefontaine High School have been made.

Students from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake and Riverside high schools and the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center attended the hearings to observe how the state’s high courts works.

In State vs. Kareski, the justices determined that double jeopardy prevented the retrial of an Akron bartender who was charged with serving a light beer to a minor.
