An abandoned north side motel is coming down, albeit slowly.

Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Paul Benedetti said S&S Construction of Jamestown is experiencing cost overruns on the project and is taking time to recycle every material it can down to the reinforcing iron rebar.
Mr. Benedetti gave Bellefontaine City Council an update Tuesday of the $50,000 project at 1134 N. Main St.
He said S&S has been looking for places to dump the concrete and waste, and his office has tried to help find local facilities.
