Danny Ellis Sr., 42, of 8867 Township Road 239, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest, assault and seven counts of aggravated menacing Tuesday evening after an incident at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the home about 6 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute.
His family members said Mr. Ellis had been intoxicated and that a fight had broken out over dinner that evening. His wife, Samantha, 42, and his 14-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son, said Mr. Ellis had gotten physical with them during the dispute.
The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he reportedly made threats against deputies and corrections officers, and as a result, received the aggravated menacing charges.
Student charged with disorderly conduct
A 10-year-old DeGraff area boy was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident Tuesday morning at Riverside Schools.
School officials contacted the sheriff’s office about 9:40 a.m. after the student reportedly became violent when his teacher told him he couldn’t use a calculator on a math test.
The student was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
