Woman arrested after crashing stolen vehicle



Lisa D. Hensley, 38, of 198 McKeestown Road, Bellefontaine, is currently lodged in the Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg after she reportedly crashed a car owned by her stepbrother, Bruce Fogle, 33, of Kenton.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 198 McKeestown Road about 7:40 a.m. Friday, and spoke with Mr. Fogle.

He said his stepsister had taken his vehicle keys and $45 cash from him that morning between 5 and 7 a.m. while he was sleeping and left in his 1999 Dodge Durango. Mr. Fogle said she didn’t have permission to take his vehicle.

Troopers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol recovered the vehicle after it was involved in a crash that morning on U.S. Route 68 in Champaign County. Ms. Hensley was transported to Mercy Hospital in Urbana for treatment of injuries, and then upon release was transported to the jail.

She was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to control, driving under financial responsibility suspension, falsification and obstructing official business. A warrant has also been requested for her in Logan County for charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft.

• Briana K. Mohler, 22, of 585 Oakridge Drive, Lakeview, was charged with OVI and a marked lanes violation after a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

She was observed driving left of center in the 500 block of north Main Street in Lakeview about 2:30 a.m. During the traffic stop, deputies observed signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed. She was transported to the Logan County Jail, where she tested a 0.180 blood alcohol content level.

Driver flown from C.R. 29 crash

Carlos Delacruz, 26, address at large, was transported by MedFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash about 11 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound pickup on County Road 29 near County Road 47 when he drove off the right side of the road, struck a tree and the vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side.

Damage was heavy to the pickup. Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Man jailed for domestic violence

Wayne Williams, 44, of 3633 County Road 55, Bellefontaine, was charged with three counts of domestic violence following an incident at his home Friday evening.

Deputies responded to his home about 8:15 p.m. after receiving a call from his wife, Darcie, 44, who said her husband was intoxicated and making threats. The sheriff’s office also received several calls from the defendant.

When deputies arrived, Mr. Williams reportedly told deputies to call the FBI and conduct polygraph testing of all his family members.

Mrs. Williams and her sons, Bradley Daniel, 21, and Dustin Daniel, 19, reported that Mr. Williams had been drinking all day and that he was trying to engage Bradley and Dustin in a fight by pushing them and verbally provoking them.

During one altercation, Mrs. Williams tried to intervene and her husband grabbed her by her wrist. Deputies observed scratching and red marks on her wrist.

The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail.



• William Anthony Board, 26, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot W2, Zanesfield, was charged Wednesday with theft and resisting arrest following a theft from Fields Grocery, 139 S. Main St., West Mansfield.

The owner at Fields Grocery reported that Mr. Board was caught on video surveillance taking several bottles of an alcoholic beverage inside his coat and then leaving the store.

The defendant was located at his workplace, Heartland Egg Farm, 9800 County Road 26, West Mansfield. He reportedly became aggressive when deputies asked him to provide identification. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
