UPDATE: Crash sends 2 to hospital


Squads from Huntsville and BMRT responded Monday afternoon to the intersection of State Route 117 and Fruit Street in Huntsville for a possible injury accident. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that the driver of the minivan, Paul Helms, 73, of Findlay, had been involved in a crash on U.S. Route 33 just west of U.S. Route 68 about 2:25 p.m. His westbound minivan struck a guardrail, and then a westbound car traveling behind him operated by Orey Gobrecht, 24, of Lakeview, struck some of the debris from the crash. Details were unavailable about what happened after the minivan crashed on U.S. 33 and then was located a short time later in Huntsville. Mr. Helms and his passenger, Timothy Wash, 17, each was transported by Huntsville squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible injuries. Mr. Gobrecht did not report any injuries.
