A Dola woman was claimed in a failure to yield crash Sunday afternoon near the village of Dola in Hardin County, troopers of the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report.
Taylor L. Carder, 20, reportedly was operating a northbound pickup about 2:15 p.m. on Township Road 125 at Township Road 50. She reportedly ran the stop sign at that location and her vehicle was struck in the left side by an eastbound car operated by London M. Crist, 18, of Dola.
The pickup rolled onto its top and came to rest off the northeast side of the intersection. Ms. Carder was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms. Crist was wearing her seat belt and was transported by Dunkirk EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Troopers continue to investigate, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Also assisting at the scene were personnel with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Fire, Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, Fender Benders Towing and Lowery’s Towing. (PHOTO | TRACI GRAY-MILLER)
