Drivers escape injuries in head-on collision


Deputies of the a Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday in front of 11520 County Road 87 in Stokes Township.

Ellyssia Cuevas, 20, of Waynesfield, reportedly was operating a car in a driveway at that location, attempting an eastbound turn onto C.R. 87, when she struck a westbound car operated by Benjamin A. Owen, 76, of Huntsville, in a head-on collision.

Indian Lake squad responded to the scene and checked both drivers, who did not report any injuries.

Damage was light to the Owen vehicle and moderate to the Cuevas vehicle. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Ms. Cuevas was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Woman jailed after domestic dispute



Alison R. Hart, 27, of 9577 Orchard Island Drive, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence after an incident Wednesday morning.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received a report from her husband, Jason, 42, about 9:15 p.m. that his wife had come home intoxicated earlier that morning and that she had struck him numerous times.

He had left the residence and met deputies at the Russells Point Police Department.

Deputies then went to the couple’s home and spoke with Mrs. Hart. She told deputies that she struck her husband after he struck her that morning. She was transported to the Logan County Jail.
