MainGunntowncrash

Bellefontaine Fire and EMS crews work to extract Connie Woodruff, 66, of West Liberty, from the vehicle she was driving following a two-car crash that occurred at the intersection of south Main Street and Gunntown Road about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. Robert H. Paris Jr., 35, of Springfield, was southbound on Main Street when the sports utility vehicle he was driving crashed into the driver’s side of Mrs. Woodruff’s car as she attempted to negotiate the intersection eastbound from the parking lot in front of Lowe’s Home Improvement onto Gunntown Road. Mrs. Woodruff was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. No one else was hurt. Mr. Paris was cited for failure to stop at the red light. Damage was functional, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. (EXAMINER PHOTO | NATE SMITH)
