Teen transported after rollover crash

LoCoSheriff-Star

Josie Sue Corwin, 16, of DeGraff, was transported by private vehicle to a family doctor for injuries sustained in a crash at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a northbound vehicle on Township Road 35 just north of County Road 60 when she went left of center and drove off the left side of the road, struck a driveway and her vehicle overturned onto its top.

• Rosetta Cannon, 66, of Daytona Beach, Fla., was cited for failure to control after a dump truck crash about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 6500 block of State Route 273.

She reportedly was operating the eastbound dump truck when she said one of her tires started shredding and her vehicle went off the right side of the road into a ditch and struck a utility pole. The truck then came to a rest in a field.

No injuries were reported.

Citations issued for dogs at large

Matthew M. Miller, 31, of 153 Bank St., Rushsylvania, was issued a summons Nov. 1 for having dogs at large.

His neighbor, Cheri Vance, 152 Bank St., said she went outside her house that day and Mr. Miller’s dog came into her yard and bit her arm. Deputies observed a puncture wound on her arm and that her jacket sleeve had been torn.

• Andrew G. Shaw, 33, of 293 Township Road 184, Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for dogs at large Tuesday.

The owner of Briarwood Sporting Club reported Monday that dogs belonging to Mr. Shaw had been on the company’s whitetail deer breeding facility at 221 T.R. 184. He said the dogs were running alongside fences on the property where the deer are housed.
