Logan County District Board of Health members were informed at their Wednesday afternoon meeting that the Logan County Home Health agency recently was honored with two national awards.
For the first commendation, the home health organization that operates out of the Logan County Health District office, 310 S. Main St., was named an honor recipient of the 2013 Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems award.
Established by Deyta LLC, the award recognizes the top 20 percent of home health agencies that provide the best experience from the patient’s point of view.
Honor recipients are named based on HHCAHPS patient survey results from a reporting period of April 2012 to March 2013. The surveys looked at patient satisfaction measures covering both performance and improvement of care over the 12-month period.
“I think this is one of the best honors we can get because it tells us that our patients are happy,” said Kay Schroer, nursing director. “It’s everybody on our staff working together that produces these results.”
