Domestic dispute leads to arrest

LoCoSheriff-Star

Richard H. Trenkamp, 65, of 10984 Oak Circle, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence after an incident at his home Wednesday morning.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 8:20 a.m., where they spoke to his wife, Sharon, 70.

She reported that she had been holding a bag of light bulbs, and that during an argument, he had grabbed her wrists and pulled the bag away from her. Deputies noticed that she had sustained bruising to her fingers and her wrist was starting to swell.

Mr. Trenkamp said he had asked his wife for the light bulbs, and she had refused to give them to him, so he grabbed them from her. He was transported to the Logan County Jail.

Summonses issued for drug abuse

Deputies issued summonses to an adult and two teens after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Midway about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle was located at Main Street and Madison Avenue, and three people were sitting in a vehicle at that location. Deputies observed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Seth Schwerin, 20, of 6740 County Road 49, admitted to having a backpack in the vehicle that contained marijuana. The backpack was located, and deputies also found drug paraphernalia in the backpack. Mr. Schwerin was issued summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

The two teens, Dylin P. Miller, 17, of 10822 Main St., Lakeview, and Jennifer Larson, 17, of 8890 Township Road 239, Apt. 52, Lakeview, each was issued a summons for drug abuse and were released to family members.

She was operating a westbound vehicle that struck the rear of a westbound pickup operated by Tyler Oakley, 21, of Lakeview, that had slowed to make a turn.

• Bruce Colegrove, 53, of Lakeview, also was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after a Wednesday afternoon crash at that location.

He was operating a westbound pickup about 4:45 p.m. that struck the rear of a westbound sport utility vehicle operated by Steven J. Fullenkamp, 56, of Anna.
