Richard Ramos, 26, of 7578 Williams Drive, Lewistown, was charged with aggravated burglary and assault after an incident Friday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 324 N. Main St., DeGraff, about 5 p.m. in reference to a menacing complaint.
Timothy L. Allen, 54, of that address, reported that Mr. Ramos had entered his residence without being invited during a dispute involving Ella Horne, 35, of 868 E. Sandusky, Apt. 116, Bellefontaine. Ms. Horne had been hiding from Mr. Allen at the residence.
The defendant reportedly came to the home and got into a confrontation with Mr. Allen. The front door was locked to prevent Mr. Ramos from gaining entry.
Mr. Ramos then reportedly went to the rear of the home and found an unlocked door. The defendant allegedly forced his way into the residence by jerking open a door that was closed with a hook latch.
Mr. Allen stated he produced a handgun and told Mr. Ramos that he had contacted the sheriff's office. Mr. Ramos then left the home and deputies were unable to locate him at that time.
However, the defendant was located about 6:25 p.m. Saturday at his residence. He was placed under arrest for aggravated burglary and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
Deputies continue to investigate this incident.
