Brianne M. Kennedy, 31, of 901 Omaha Road, Bellefontaine, was charged Saturday with a felony count of burglary after an incident in Lakeview.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 401 Champion Drive, Lakeview, about 3:35 a.m. in reference to a reported burglary.
Bennett Baum contacted deputies and reported that he had heard noises coming from his garage. He then checked the garage and discovered a man and woman inside. The pair quickly left the garage.
Deputies arrived and were approached by Ms. Kennedy, who reported that she had been inside the garage. Mr. Baum also identified her as the suspect.
Mr. Baum reported that a rear door to his attached garage was damaged. Nothing was reported missing from the garage.
Deputies are still investigating this matter to identify the male subject who was with Ms. Kennedy. She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Teen charged with OVI after crash
Whitney N. Jenkins, 19, of 205 Boggs St., DeGraff, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs early Sunday morning following a crash in DeGraff.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a northbound sport utility vehicle on south Main Street in the village just north of County Road 63 about 2 a.m. when she drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Riverside EMS responded to the scene and checked the driver for injuries but did not transport her. The SUV sustained heavy damage.
Ms. Jenkins also was cited for failure to control.
