Trillium Farms has received a Corporate Appreciation award for its ongoing support of a local fundraiser to support the Indian Lake Watershed Project.

The farm provided $5,000 contributions in 2012 and 2013 to sponsor the local group’s Nashville Hitmakers fundraiser. Doug Mack, chief operating officer for Trillium, accepted the award at the ILWP board meeting on Sept. 25.

This year, the event raised about $25,000, with a portion of funding going to local schools and the majority going to support the watershed project.

The ILWP is a nationally recognized project for its work with local farmers, urban homeowners and rural landowners for the past 15 years to make significant water quality improvements.

“Trillium Farms took the lead in providing generous financial support for our event in 2012 and again in 2013,” said Vicky Boots, ILWP executive director. “Their support led the way for other companies to donate, and has helped us achieve new goals in securing much-needed funding for the watershed.”
