Mary Rutan Hospital has named Chad Ross as its vice president of operations.
Mr. Ross will also join the hospital’s leadership team early next month as compliance and privacy officer. He will replace team member Cheryl Brooks, who is retiring after 26 years of service with the hospital.
Additionally, Mr. Ross will have involvement in overseeing managed care contracting and assume department responsibilities for pharmacy, respiratory care, sleep center and laboratory services.
“With Chad’s experience and expertise in compliance, legal and contracting, I am pleased to have him as a part of our leadership team and welcome him to the Mary Rutan Hospital family,” said Mandy Goble, president and CEO of Mary Rutan Hospital.
“As a seasoned attorney, with a great deal of experience on the healthcare side, I am certain Chad will add a great deal of merit to our team, ” Mrs. Goble added.
Prior to joining MRH, Ross was a partner at Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger, Ltd., where for more than 13 years he has been involved in various hospital projects from a legal perspective.
The 1989 Indian Lake High School graduate began his legal career at Baker & Hostetler LLP and also worked previously as director of acquisitions for OmniAmerica, Inc. and as director of corporate development for Lattice Communications LLC before joining the local law firm in 2000.
“Chad’s departure from Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger is bitter sweet. He will be missed here in the office but at the same time we are pleased that he is staying local and that we will have a continued opportunity to work with and support Chad in his new role with Mary Rutan Hospital,” said Robert MacDonald, partner at TD&H.
Ross earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University, graduating cum laude with a double major in accounting and finance, and received his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
He resides near Huntsville with his wife, Jamie and daughters, Regan and Riley.
