Ohio Hi-Point school board members Wednesday at a regular meeting positively evaluated the district superintendent and approved a new program to the school’s curriculum.
Superintendent Jeff Price received an “excellent” evaluation from the school board.
“The board took into account the goals listed in the new Ohio Superintendent Evaluation System and felt (Mr.) Price had met and exceeded (expectations) in certain goals,” board president Anne Reames said.
Beginning next school year, Hi-Point will offer a welding and fabrication program.
“There’s a tremendous need for manufacturing operations in our communities, and we want to meet those needs and the demands of the employers in the industry,” career technical supervisor Jon Henry said in a presentation to the board.
