Benjamin Logan High School senior William Kennedy has been named the state winner in the high school division of the Ohio Association for Gifted Children’s Fine Arts Exhibition at the Hilton Easton in Columbus.
His entry, a colored pencil piece entitled “At the Estuary,” was selected from hundreds of submissions from all 88 Ohio counties.
With this award, William is a now a two-time winner of the show and received a $300 prize. This year also marks the fifth consecutive year that a student from Benjamin Logan has won the OAGC show.
Artwork by fellow BLHS students Maisey Woodrum, Sabrielle Davidson and Haley Baker also were featured in this year’s OAGC show, as previously reported in the Examiner.
