RUSSIA — The remains of a 29-year-old man were found Saturday evening on railroad tracks in this small southwestern Shelby County village.
The remains of Nathanael Rohan, 29, were found Saturday on railroad tracks between Russia Road and Miller Road in the village of Russia in Shelby County.
Deputies of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office were contacted about 7:17 p.m. by CSX Railroad officials who reported that employees aboard a westbound train saw what they believed were human remains located between the railroad crossings at Russia Road and Miller Road.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene and found a deceased male, later identified as former Maryland area resident Nathanael Rohan.
Mr. Rohan had recently moved to Shelby County to live with family members, reports said.
Shelby County Coroner's Office officials, along with information provided by local residents helped identify the deceased.
The incident remains under investigation.
