SIDNEY - Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle accident involving a Sidney Schools bus at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The bus was stopped at a home with its lights on, waiting to pick up a student. One car was stopped behind the bus, but a second car, whose driver claimed to be blinded by the sun, failed to see either vehicle and rear-ended the second vehicle, forcing it partially under the bus.
The cars' drivers were treated at Wilson Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
The bus had seven students on board, with another student in the safety zone waiting with his mother.
Neither the bus driver nor any of the students were injured.
The bus was towed for repairs and the children were transported to school by Sidney City School superintendent John Scheu and Transportation Director Mark Barhorst.
Once the children were at school, the parents were notified of the accident.
