City asked to go after Moore’s Cafe
The first draft of Bellefontaine’s budget for 2014 sets aside $7.92 million for general fund expenditures, but it does not include pay increases, higher insurance costs, a capital improvements payment or new hires for police, fire and code enforcement.
Finances for the city have improved in the past year. Income tax collections are up and the city has been able to maintain a healthy reserve fund.
Still, there are threats to the city’s revenue picture, City Auditor Jack Reser noted.
