Missing teen found unharmed in Missouri

An East Liberty teen reported missing Sunday by her aunt was found unharmed Tuesday afternoon in Jackson, Missouri.

Stacey M. Turner, 17, was located after a traffic stop about 4 p.m. in that city. She was traveling with Codey Tevis, 18, of Bellefontaine.

Stacey will be held by Missouri authorities until she can be released to family members. Mr. Tevis was released at the scene.

Stacey had been staying with her aunt, a West Mansfield resident, who reported about 5:20 p.m. Sunday that the teen had apparently left her 139 N. Main St., Apt. 8, residence overnight. Stacey had last been seen about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The teens had reportedly been texting each other the previous evening.

The Logan County County Prosecutors Office will review the incident for possible charges against the teens.
