Area law enforcement officers are stepping up enforcement and patrol efforts through Monday as a result of their participation in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
Deputy Jeff Anspach of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office said the campaign began Aug. 16, and has included additional deputies, troopers and other law enforcement officers on local roadways.
With the upcoming holiday weekend, officers will continue to look for impaired and distracted drivers, along with other violations relating to seat belts, child restraints and other issues that would cause problems on the roadway, the deputy said.
“Our main goal is to make the roadways as safe as possible with the additional traffic.”
