Kauffman first county resident to lead state American Legion

Jeff Kauffman believes strongly in the American Legion’s mission, so much so he pursued a path to the top of the state organization’s leadership.

In June, he became the commander of the Department of Ohio after serving first as a deputy vice-commander and then vice-commander.

He is the first Logan County veteran to reach the one-year post.

A retired Dayton Power & Light Co. lineman, Mr. Kauffman decided several years ago he had the time to serve in the American Legion’s leadership.
