New hires and staff adjustments highlighted a brief special meeting Tuesday of the West Liberty-Salem school board.
One-year contracts were approved for Gina Boggs and Kenleigh Ludlow Farris, sixth- and seventh-grade language arts, respectively. Contracts for Steve Holliday, elementary computer/21st Century skills teacher, and Crystal Johnson, fourth-grade teacher were approved. Lastly, a part-time, 3.5 hour-per-day contract for Bethany Smucker to be a K-2 music teacher was approved.
All contracts are effective for the 2013-14 school year.
A resignation of Bethany Kauffman, sixth-grade language arts, along with her supplemental position, W.E.B. co-coordinator was approved. She accepted a position closer to her home, the board reports.
