A vehicle that caught fire in a barn prompted firefighters from five local fire departments to converge on Rushsylvania on Monday afternoon.

The blaze broke out about 1:30 p.m. at the 808 E. Township Road 51 property owned by Janice Stahler. A vehicle inside the unoccupied structure caught fire and then the building itself caught fire.
Firefighters were called in from Rushcreek, Richland Township, Bellefontaine, Ridgeway and Kenton fire departments and a BMRT squad.
Damage was contained to the structure and no one was injured.
