Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to separate injury crashes that occurred Wednesday evening and last Friday afternoon at state routes 47 and 235.

Troopers report Evan Forsthoefel, 21, of Minster, was cited for failure to yield following a three-vehicle serious injury crash about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at the intersection that resulted in two people being flown to a Dayton hospital.

A westbound 2010 Ford F-250 truck operated by Mr. Forsthoefel  on S.R. 47 was reportedly stopped at the intersection when the vehicle pulled into the path of a southbound 2006 Jeep Liberty on S.R. 235 driven by Ida Hickman, 38, of Wapakoneta.

The Hickman vehicle then struck the passenger side of the Forsthoefel truck, which forced it to strike an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet truck stopped on S.R. 47 head on.

Ms. Hickman and the Chevrolet's driver, Timmy McPherson, 54, of Kenton, each sustained incapacitating injuries and were transported by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital.

Mr. Forsthoefel and a passenger in his vehicle, Ross Wuebker, 21, also of Minster, were transported by Robinaugh squad with non-incapacitating injuries and possible injuries, respectively, to Mary Rutan Hospital.

All occupants were reportedly wearing seat belts.

• Passengers involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday sustained minor injuries.
