Logan County Electric Cooperative is due in its new digs by early next month.

Co-op officials announced Tuesday during the members’ annual meeting the new 22,000 square-foot facility is to open Sept. 3. Members were afforded tours of the new facility ahead of the 77th annual cooperative meeting.
There may be some loose ends to tie up even after cooperative offices are moved inside the new facility, officials said, but the building is nearly move-in ready and was built to accommodate future growth.
“The building was built to allow for future expansion,” Steve Drake, the co-op’s director of finance and accounting, told members. “One of the things relayed to us by other cooperatives was that we should not sacrifice space to save money.
