Jobe A. Barney, 35, of 200 Keller St., West Mansfield, and Dion J. “D.J.” Frazier, 39, of 175 Keller St., West Mansfield, each was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident late Monday evening.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Keller Street in the village about 10:30 p.m. in reference to a disturbance.

When they arrived, they found Mr. Barney in the street, reportedly yelling about assaulting Mr. Frazier.

He said Mr. Frazier and Mr. Frazier’s 10-year-old son had been at his residence that evening when an argument broke out. Mr. Frazier and his son then left the residence.

A short time later, Mr. Frazier came back to the residence to get his keys, and he allegedly punched Mr. Barney in the head.

Deputies also talked with Mr. Frazier. He reported that Mr. Barney, who is in a wheelchair, had pushed his son against a wall. Mr. Frazier also alleged that Mr. Barney leapt out of the wheelchair and punched him in the eye.

Both defendants had witnesses to collaborate their sides of the story, deputies said.

While interviewing the two subjects, deputies said they continued to make threats to harm each other. The pair was transported to the Logan County Jail.
