Walking up to Hollanshead Kinsey Insurance in Russells Point, visitors are greeted with an unusual sight for a business: a full, lush vegetable garden.

“We’re the only business even with a lawn, really, in town so people really notice and admire the garden” said Gary Kinsey, part owner of Hollanshead Kinsey Insurance.
The garden is the work of Mr. Kinsey and Char Ellington of Russells Point. The idea came to them one day in church in the winter of 2010 when Mrs. Ellington mentioned her disappointment in no longer being able to have a garden at her new residence.
“I said to her ‘are you serious about wanting to garden or just bemoaning the situation?’ And she was serious, so here we are,” said Mr. Kinsey.
