David Dailey, State Farm Insurance agent, was elected president of the Hilliker Y Board of Trustees during a recent meeting.
He replaces outgoing president Terry Stolly, who served in that capacity since 2011.
Mr. Stolly’s term as president was marked by re-establishing proper corporate governance, implementing Y best practices, forming strong and vibrant committees and ensuring long-term viability of the Y by focusing on board development and vision, according to a release.
“I have enjoyed working with Terry as board president. He is a quality person through and through,” said Jim Bouldin, Hilliker Y CEO.
Mr. Dailey’s tenure began at the board meeting June 25, along with other new board members, Don Epps, Saul Bauer, David Willoby, Darrin Haubert and Karey Thompson.
The new board president is married to Joni and has a daughter, Maddy. His family is active in the Y’s programming, especially the Hilliker Heat swim team.
“I am very excited about our YMCA and serving as president of the board of trustees. The Y is a vital part of our community.”
The other officers include Mike Mullins, vice president; Bill Boy, treasurer; Kathy Johnson, secretary; and Mr. Stolly will serve as immediate past president.
