Plans to add sites 14 and 15 to the county’s roster of recycling centers will greatly benefit the population in those areas, outgoing Logan County Solid Waste Management District Coordinator Alan Hale said.
Ground for the first of two new recycling centers will be broken next week in Zanesfield near the fire department. That recycling center should be in operation by the end of August, Mr. Hale said.
Township trustees approved the recycling location at their most recent meeting.
The county intends to add a concrete pad on which to set its receptacles, as recycling containers would destroy the blacktop in the parking lot, Mr. Hale said.
The solid waste coordinator said township officials and the Tri-Valley Fire Department were easy to work with.
“They made it real easy for us,” Mr. Hale said.
