Woman escapes serious injury in crash

A Belle Center woman escaped serious injury after her car went off the road and struck a fence and telephone pole along County Road 49.

Dorothy Smith, 23, was southbound at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when she lost control of her vehicle, went off the right side of the road and struck a fence and pole before coming to rest in front of a home at 5805 C.R. 49, troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report.

She was taken by a Huntsville squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

There was no indication that alcohol was a factor in the crash, troopers report.
