Russells Point Mayor Robin Reames has declared a state of emergency for the Village of Russells Point because of significant damage from Wednesday’s storm.
The village’s electrical infrastructure was seriously damaged, she said, with downed power lines and blocked roadways.
Officials are asking for local government agencies for assistance in removing debris.
Roadways are temporarily closed at the intersections of Lake Avenue and Marshall Street, Russell Street at Taylor and Elliott roads. The Logan County Engineer’s Office is assisting with tree removal.
Residents may take debris to the front of the municipal building, 433 State Route 708, and are reminded that all contractors must be registered with the village. For a list of registered contractors, call 843-2245.
