Officers responded just after 7 p.m. to 8989 Crescent St., Orchard Island, where Vicky Carnes, of that address, reported the two women came to her house demanding her prescription medication or $200, they said because Mrs. Carnes’ son had stolen theirs.

In searching for the vehicle Sierra Kirk, 21, of 205 N. Oak St., Lakeview, and her mother, Stacy L. Mangan, 50, of the same address, were in, officers observed the silver pickup truck pull out of the east entrance of Beatley’s and into a cul-de-sac in the northwest section of the mobile home park.

After a brief chase, both were apprehended, with assistance from the Russells Point Police Department. Ms. Kirk then allegedly suffered a medical issue and an Indian Lake squad treated her at the scene.

Ms. Kirk was charged with resisting arrest, failure to comply with a lawful order, criminal damaging, criminal trespass and outstanding warrants. Her mother was charged with failure to comply with a lawful order and both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.

A photograph of Ms. Mangan was not immediately available.
