Queen, king contest slated for Sunday night

Amanda Frasure and Kwinton Mansfield give up their 2012 Logan County Fair queen and king titles Sunday evening, following the 2013 queen and king contest that begins at 6 p.m. at the entertainment tent.

Those in the running for the new titles are one king candidate and two queen candidates, including one of the runners-up winners from last year’s contest, Hannah Boy.

The three candidates met recently for dinner and a private interview with judges.

“Even though there are only a few participants, each candidate possesses outstanding qualities,” said Christie Barns, 4-H committee representative. “They are committed to their fair projects and have a passion for being an integral part of the Logan County Fair.”

The contest is a cooperative effort of the Logan County 4-H Committee and Logan County Fair Board and is open to any junior fair participant.
