Brice A. Lawson, 19, of 5126 County Road 168, West Liberty, was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was served a warrant at his residence Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrived at his address about 4 p.m. for the purpose of serving a Champaign County warrant for breaking and entering to the defendant.
When they arrived at the trailer, they heard running inside the residence. A female subject who answered the door said Mr. Lawson was attempting to escape from the home through a window.
Deputies took the suspect into custody, and during a search of his person, they found a hypodermic needle in his pocket, along with other drug abuse instruments. Drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments also were found inside the trailer.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
