Participants included Ty Ferguson, Junior Baker, Frank Chatfield, Shirley Knight and Bryan Krehn. They learned how to improve their leadership skills within the agency and the community and also how to become better self-advocates.

Following their training last month, the group has formed an advocacy team. They developed a mission statement that they will present at the August board meeting and also at a staff in-service.

Four staff members, Nancy Steinberger, Jenny White, Jennifer Schreiner and Emily Reminder, will participate in The Good Life training that takes place over four months through the Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities.
