Summer Enrichment Academy

ABOVE: Sixth-grader Andrea Niswonger pipes icing on a cupcake Tuesday during the Bake My Day session of the Summer Enrichment Academy at Bellefontaine High School instructed by Sharon Dodds, who is pictured standing at the right. Students at this particular class also learned tips for how to make cake pops and how to present other fun and festive desserts. The SEA is in its 10th year of offering classes in topics such as science, technology, mathematics, language arts, health and fitness, and art and drama to students grades 1-7 from all of the county schools. Students said these tools that include feathers and arrowheads were used both for hunting and as weapons. The class explored Native American history for Logan County and Ohio.
