Chamber ribbon cutting at Western & Southern Life

The Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony June 5 to welcome Western & Southern Life, 1400 S. Main St., as a member of the business organization.

Western & Southern Life is marking 125 years of providing diversified financial services.

Founded in 1888, Western & Southern has been in Bellefontaine since early the 1960’s, serving individuals, families and small businesses of Bellefontaine and surrounding areas with unique services such as Vial for Life for Seniors, Child Identification kits for families and Financial Focus needs analysis.

Western & Southern Life representatives Heidi Bair, Linda Clark, Josh Miller, Patrick Plikerd and Brandon McAdams are joined by members of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce for a recent ribbon cutting at the firm's 1400 S. Main St. location.

Services also include Health Care concern, Retirement Target, Foundations for New Families and Mortgage Protection products, among many others.

Western & Southern has been recognized as a Top 125 in Training Magazine for newly hired representatives and earned AA+ ratings with Standard and Poors.

The service provider also gives back to its community by putting $2.2 million back in to the local economy in the form of claims paid in the last five years.

Western & Southern also recognizes its ever changing client base with outreaches to veterans and Spanish speaking consumers.

“We pride ourselves in serving a wide variety of people in the middle income market. Western & Southern Life has created a Spanish Web site for serving a growing client base,” officials said. “We are also very proud of our commitment to seeking out veterans that are coming out of the military and needing employment opportunities.
