Two properties in West Mansfield can move forward for demolition through Moving Ohio Forward Funds available to the county following action taken Wednesday afternoon at the Logan County District Board of Health meeting.
The board authorized the demolition of the properties at 320 W. Center St. and 244 S. Dean St., owned by Mike Gordon and Robert Stevenson, respectively.
Both owners have already signed their properties over to the county, so the health board’s action will help to continue moving the process along, said Craig Kauffman, director of environmental health.
The first property reportedly has been vacant for about 20 years. It has a damaged porch, no siding, open basement windows, an open detached garage, no sewer connection or water supply and demolition debris behind the home.
