Three local schools received grant money Tuesday for their participation in a suicide prevention program.
West Liberty-Salem, Triad, and Riverside school districts each received grant money from the Logan/Champaign Counties Suicide Prevention Coalition.
They were the top three schools in Logan and Champaign counties for participation in the Kognito program. West-Liberty Salem was the first place school in Champaign County, while Riverside was the top school in Logan County.
Both schools had all of the teachers in their high schools participate and received $750 for their guidance departments. Triad came in second, receiving $400 for use in their guidance department. Both Riverside and Triad had teachers in both the middle and high school participate in training.
