Members of the Wood Rosebrook American Legion perform a 21-gun salute Monday at the Middleburg Cemetery, where, in the midst of these activities, a pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the driveway area of the cemetery, 12020 Green St., Middleburg. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report the driver, Constance Stratton, 86, of Zanesfield, was making a turn onto the driveway about 11:30 a.m. when she said her foot slipped off the brake. Her van then struck a pedestrian, Candace Snyder, 33, of Bellefontaine, who was walking on the right side of the driveway. The vehicle also struck a sign and a grave marker. Ms. Snyder was transported by Allen Township squad to Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville. The driver did not report any injuries. No citations have yet been issued.
