A man was arrested early this morning following a report that he entered a stranger’s apartment and fell asleep in a bed.
Jair L. Mundy, 28, at large, was arrested for criminal trespass, public intoxication, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse, trafficking in drugs and two counts of possession of drugs about 4:30 a.m. today.
Paul McQuinn, 224 N. Detroit St., reported to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department the suspect entered the unlocked residence while he had stepped out momentarily. Upon his return, Mr. McQuinn said he found the man lying in his bed.
Responding officers recognized the suspect, and observed he was lying in his own urine and smelled of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and was transported to Logan County Jail. As he was being booked in, law enforcement reportedly recovered plastic bags containing suspected heroin capsules and cocaine.
