The Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties has awarded five mini-grants to organizations for fiscal year 2013.
The grants were awarded for programs that promote a greater awareness of mental health and substance abuse prevention in the two counties. The grant applications were reviewed by an eight-member committee representing both counties, and a total of $20,890 was awarded.
The grand recipients are:
• $3,680, Discovery Riders, Positive Social Interaction Program, Logan County — Extension of the equine assisted activities program to promote continued self-development, educational opportunities, and a sense of accomplishment.
