Safety Town to start June 3

The Bellefontaine Exchange Club sponsors its 52nd annual Safety Town program this summer. It is open to all county children who are entering kindergarten in the fall.

Local law enforcement officers train young children in pedestrian safety, traffic signals and signs, fire safety, good and bad touching, avoiding strangers in vehicles and hazards of drug abuse.

All sessions are at Western Intermediate School, 1130 W. Sandusky Ave., but the school does not manage the program.

Sessions are split between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. starts. The program is conducted over four to five days.

Weekly starts are June 3, 10, 17 and 24 and July 1 (no class on July 4).
