Brothers Chris and Scott Marlow will be promoted to sergeants after they finished atop a five-man eligibility list for the Bellefontaine Police Department.
The Bellefontaine Civil Service Commission met Tuesday to certify the list.
Patrol officers Jason Lapp, Jason Boy and Andrew Kennedy finished out the list.
Chris joined the department on Jan. 7, 1998, while Scott began on Aug. 28, 2000.
Chris is one of two canine handlers for the department and he will continue in that role along with new supervisory responsibilities.
Both will be promoted Friday in a 3 p.m. ceremony at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center.
Rick Herring, who was succeeded in earning the lieutenant’s promotion, also will be promoted during the service, and Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Huffman will be sworn in as a patrol officer.
