Drivers cited in non-injury crashes

Karen A. Feltham, 63, of Rushsylvania, received a red light citation following a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at west Sandusky Avenue and north Detroit Street.

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report she was operating an eastbound car on Sandusky Avenue about 3:05 p.m. when she entered the intersection during a red light and was struck by a southbound jeep operated by Julianne Minnich, 23, of Huntsville.

No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.

• Kade Runion, 17, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control following a crash involving an Allied Waste trash truck Thursday morning on north Hayes Street at east Sandusky Avenue.  

Officers report he was stopped on Hayes Street facing southbound about 8:05 a.m. when the westbound trash truck operated by Christopher Schoephle, 39, of Bellefontaine, attempted to make a turn onto Hayes Street.

Kade started to back up his vehicle to allow the trash truck to make the turn, but then Kade said he inadvertently starting moving forward again and his car struck the trash truck’s bumper.

No injuries were reported and damage was light to the car. No damage was reported to the truck.

Warrant served

Officers served a warrant to Terrance Rister, 41, of 320 Plumvalley St., for failure to appear.
