Donald R. Mills Jr., 50, of 235 Jefferson St., Quincy, was charged with domestic violence after an incident at his residence Tuesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home about 7:30 p.m. on a domestic dispute reported by his father-in-law, Richard Heniser, 78, also of that address.
Mr. Heniser reported that he had been mowing the lawn that evening when his son-in-law became angry when grass clippings went in a mulch bed. Mr. Mills then reportedly knocked his father-in-law off the lawn mower.
Before this particular incident, the pair reportedly had been arguing throughout the week, deputies said.
Deputies did not observe any visible injuries to Mr. Heniser.
Mr. Mills was transported to the Logan County Jail.
