A Lakeview man faces operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs charges after a 9:30 p.m. traffic stop Sunday on U.S. Route 33 near State Route 235.

Gino J. Mangan, 25, of 205 N. Oak St., also was cited for speed, driving left of center and not using a safety belt, according to a trooper of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

During the stop, the trooper did not detect, but observed burn marks on his teeth and fingers. The driver also had extremely constricted pupils and seemed lethargic, the trooper reported.

Field sobriety tests indicated he was under the influence and he was taken to the Logan County Jail for testing.

He refused to submit to a urine test and would not talk with a trooper who specializes in drug recognition.

Monday, he posted $500 after appearing in Bellefontaine Municipal Court.
