Washington Township Police wrapped up an investigation into the theft of rims, tractor weights and other miscellaneous items from a rural Lewistown home with the Friday arrest of Aaron Brock, 31, at large, who was caught on surveillance video at a local salvage yard selling the items.
Chris Tron, 6463 County Road 13, reported Tuesday his son witnessed two white men loading the items into a black truck with a white door in the driveway.
Township and other area law enforcement agencies were on the lookout for the truck with a few sightings reported throughout the week. While fueling the cruiser Friday evening at the Midway Marathon, Chief Rick Core observed the truck pull into the parking lot and he initiated the arrest.
Brock was charged with criminal trespass and theft and was taken to the Logan County Jail, where authorities recovered drugs and drug instruments, including a hypodermic needle from his person. Charges of possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and conveyance into the jail were added to the previous charges, as well as operating a vehicle without a license and with fictitious registration.
